Educational Philosophy

Our ultimate goal at Breakthrough Educational Services is to inspire, teach, train, facilitate, guide, and motivate diverse students so that they develop into highly-skilled, well-rounded, independent learners who possess exceptional procedural knowledge, conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in order to succeed both in and outside of school.

One of our important goals is to focus on the uniqueness of every student – no matter the age - and to be receptive to their myriad learning styles and needs. Special care is given to ensure every student is paired with the right instructor, and a unique teaching approach is tailored to their needs and the curriculum guidelines.

Teaching for deep understanding is important to us. Fostering a love of and a joy for learning (we have fun in the process!), teaching academic independence, excellent study skills and habits, and individual accountability and responsibility is all part of creating effective learners.

We ultimately teach our students to be self-regulators with an excellent work ethic. We lead by example and continually aspire to instill a real interest, enthusiasm and appreciation for learning in all forms!
